YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF CANCELED
Improving the inside or exterior of your home can be expensive, even for
small jobs. Whether it is changing a window frame, hanging a new door,
building a deck, replacing an exterior set of stairs or regrouting bathroom
tile, it can be frustrating and end up costing more than you dreamed.
A must for anyone considering undertaking a small home project solo, this
course will teach you how to develop a plan before starting any DIY job.
Using only paper, pencil and a tape measure, a home mechanics blueprint
addresses estimating the materials to be used, the costs, specialized
tools and safe steps to execute your plan. The first class will focus
on putting together a blueprint for two exterior projects; the second
will model several interior projects; and the third and fourth sessions
will have students' own personalized plans critiqued and redesigned.
