EXPRESSIVE DRAWING REGISTRATION CLOSED
Learn technical drawing skills in an open, accepting environment while tapping into your own creativity to find your true style. Aimed at all skill levels, the class will also include brief background histories on notable sketch artists; demonstrations of different techniques; and applying the lessons taught in class to help develop your creative vision. Students will work in groups and on personal projects using a variety of methods, such as pens, colored pencils, markers and watercolors. Participants will need to purchase either a 11" x 14" or a 14" x 17" sketch pad (60-lb. weight paper) for the first class. A set of artists' pencils will be supplied as part of the tuition cost. The instructor will outline other items that students can purchase at area retailers.

OIL PAINTING
Oil painting for the beginner and intermediate painter. The understanding of color is emphasized, relating color from the tube name to the color wheel, and giving a foundation for color theory. This simplification of tube names to the related basic color will avoid the confusion that many novice painters experience. This leads to better color mixing, understanding of the painting process, and therefore is a step towards improved painting skills.

PASTEL PAINTING FOR BEGINNERS REGISTRATION CLOSED
This class for beginners and intermediates is ideal for those intrigued by pastel painting. You may bring a photo or set up a still life to recreate and interpret. A demonstration will be given on the first night along with handouts and a discussion on medium, paper and framing. A supply list will also be provided at the first class meeting.

WATERCOLOR REGISTRATION CLOSED
Learn the techniques of transparent watercolor, use of different papers, etc. Emphasizing use and knowledge of color. Discussions of other water-based mediums, such as gouache, acrylic, airbrush, and framing of the finished painting.
