Courses > Spring 2019 > Revolutionary War

This class will cover prior conflicts in the Americas leading up to the Revolution, colonial powers that had major interests in the conflict, and diplomatic efforts made by the colonists to enlist the aid of some of those powers. The primary focus of the class will focus on how a group of volunteer soldiers were able to hold off the most powerful military on the planet. Military leaders, civilian politicians, diplomats, and one mad king will be investigated to look at the impact one person can have on such a momentous historical event.
